Austenitic Stainless Steels
With its face-centered cubic lattice structure, it is not hardened by heat treatment, and it is hardened by processing. Since it safely exists in room temperature and high temperature, it does not accompany deformation during rolling and it is not magnetic. [Representative steel type: STS 034]
Ferrite Stainless Steels
It has body centric cubic structure, is ferromagnetic at room temperature, is not hardened by heat treatment, and it has very excellent cold working property. It has weaker corrosion resistance than austenite stainless steels, but has excellent stress corrosion cracking. [Representative steel type : STS 430]
Martensite Stainless Steels
It has austenite structure in high temperature, has martensite structure metamorphosis by air or fluid cooling, and has perfect martensite structure at room temperature. It is ferromagnetic at room temperature, has relatively weak corrosion resistance but has excellent hardness thus it is used as steel for high strength structure. [Representative steel type : STS 410]
Duplex Stainless Steels
It is a mixed structure of austenite shape and ferrite shape at room temperature. It has an excellent hardness and crystal grain is miniaturized to give resistance against stress corrosion cracking. [Representative steel type: STS 329J1]
Precipitation Hardening Stainless Steels
It educes intermetallic compound of Cu, Ai, Tl, Nb, etc. by lapse after heat treatment to improve the strength. [Representative steel type : STS 630]
